Anthony Livanios

Anthony Livanios, is the CEO of U.S. Energy Stream, Inc., an international advisory firm in the oil and gas industry, with offices in Washington, D.C., Houston, TX, London, U.K.  and Frankfurt, Germany. He has over twenty years of experience in consulting, oil majors, oil independents, national oil companies, and governments, on natural gas pipeline development projects, LNG contracts, geopolitical risk assessments, and market intelligence. He has implemented oil and gas consulting projects in Caspian and Eurasia, The United States and European Union, Eastern Mediterranean and the Persian Gulf.

He was Managing Director for LNG Trading at M&M Gas S.A. of the Motor Oil group, (2010-2011), President of Poseidon S.A., Offshore Natural Gas Greek-Italian Pipeline(2009 – 2010) achieving the agreement for the construction of the Greek- Bulgarian Natural Gas Pipeline (IGB). From 2005 to 2009 he was the CEO of Alpha Metrics, a company specializing on market intelligence, geopolitical risk analysis, media relations, and organization of exclusive international business and energy conferences. From 1994 to 2004 he was the founder and CEO of American Research Inc., a consulting firm specializing in political risk analysis, public opinion research, and business to government relations.

From 1994 to date he has been an analyst and commentator in CNN, Reuters, Associated Press, Al Jazeera, the New York Times, and the Wall Street Journal.

Anthony Livanios holds a Master’s Degree in International Political Economy from Columbia University, New York, N.Y. (1991), and a B.A. in Economics from the American University, Washington, D.C. (1988). He is fluent in English, German and Greek.
