Larry D. White, J.D.

Larry White is a native of Sterling Heights, Michigan (USA). After graduating from high school there in 1976, he attended the United States Air Force Academy, graduating in 1980 with a Bachelor of Science degree and a commission as an U.S. Air Force officer. He also has a M.S. in International Relations from Troy State University, Alabama (US) as well as an LL.M in Maritime Law from Ankara University (TR).
In twenty-one years of military service, Larry was assigned to both flying units as a combat-ready aircrew member, in the F-4G Wild Weasel fighter and EA-6B aircraft, as well as to staff assignments as an operations staff officer specializing in high-technology warfare, information operations and operational planning. He was also qualified as a European Foreign Area Officer, specializing in Germany and Turkey.
Larry has more than 1900 flight hours and 75 combat missions. He was rated as a master navigator, instructor electronic warfare officer, and a military parachutist.
After retirement from the Air Force in 2001, Larry completed his Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree at Roger Williams University, Rhode Island (RI) and passed the Rhode Island bar exam. Since 2004, he has been in Turkey working as a lecturer in law at a number of Turkish universities and advises businesses on American and international law. He also lectures in the law of armed conflict and counterterrorism for the Turkish Armed Forces.
In 2010, he began working with the Sayer Group, in Ankara, as a legal advisor. He currently holds the position of Chief Compliance Officer and Senior International Counsel for their companies.
